Powertrain & Performance
The 2018 Kia Forte is powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve inline-four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. Highly efficient, this engine yields 25 miles per gallon in the city and 34 on the highway with the six-speed manual transmission, and 29 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway with the six-speed automatic.* The Forte EX is also powered by a 2.0-liter engine but pumps out 164 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque while still managing 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.*
The base engine for the 2018 Forte5 is that same 164-horsepower engine, but the Forte5 SX model derives its power from a turbocharged 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve inline-four-cylinder, which manages 201 horsepower, 195 lb-ft of torque, and up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway with an automatic transmission.*
Enjoy pure comfort inside the 2018 Kia Forte, which boasts available leather seat trim. The front seats can also be ordered as heated and ventilated for year-round temperature control. Other available features include dual-zone automatic temperature control and a power sunroof.
